L E N F O R D, LBRM PART I

After resigning from his job as a Food Service Manager on Catalina Island, Lenford relocated Long Beach, California. Ill-prepared for how costly and challenging city living can be, he quickly fell into homelessness and became involved in a violent crime which planted him in a California State Prison. While in prison, Lenford fell ill with a rare form of Tuberculosis that nearly took his life after months in the hospital. During this critical point in his life, Lenford turned to his religious faith. 

Now out of prison and in good health, Lenford is employed as a Resident Assistant at the Long Beach Rescue Mission. Lenford was hired for the position upon graduation from the Mission's New Life Program. He is proud that he can stand as positive example for others who are struggling to fight depression, escape from gang involvement, and remain confident in oneself and the plan that he believes God has for us all.
